European cities slim down on their CO₂ emissions thanks to Enerbrain and AI4Cities
Enerbrain recently closed Ai4Cities – Accelerating Carbon Neutrality, a project that helps municipalities to better monitor their buildings’ portfolio and reducing the CO₂ emissions by optimising HVAC systems.
The project
AI4Cities is a three-year EU-funded pre-commercial procurement (PCP) project, aiming to help cities accelerate their transition towards carbon neutrality. The project brings together 6 European cities looking for AI solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the fields of mobility and energy, two domains responsible for 82% of all greenhouse gas emissions in European cities.
The first phase kicked-off in February 2021 and the last ended in September 2022, involving over 40 innovative SMEs from across Europe.
Enerbrain was selected by Amsterdam and Copenhagen to test a new set of functionalities applied to its energy efficiency solution.
Nitty-gritties
- Enerbrain won all three Phase of the PCP in the Energy Lot
- +500K of funding to study, develop and test the solution in multiple location
- A team of over 25 Enerbrainers worked in the R&D to validate the solution propose
